Over my career I’ve fine-tuned my extensive communications and public engagement skill set through my work with not-for-profits and local governments – developing and overseeing strategic communications and engagement plans, generating and reviewing all manners of communications materials, liaising with media and government officials, and managing social media accounts.
Whether I’m drafting a news release, hosting a public event, or planning a social media campaign, I excel at creating clear and engaging messaging for diverse audiences.

Online Engagement, Survey Development, Analysis, and Reporting

I supported Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) in their public engagement efforts around their Solid Waste Management Plan Renewal which began in 2022. This included:
- Creating an online engagement webpage with detailed project timelines, key dates, background information, and opportunities for public feedback
- Conducting an online survey through the site
- Analyzing the 1,117 responses from across the CSWM service area
- Summarizing the results and feedback in a report for the Regional Solid Waste Advisory Committee and CSWM Board.
Multi-Channel Communications Planning
I developed and executed a zero-waste holidays campaign for Comox Strathcona Waste Management which reached residents across the region through radio, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, web content, and in-person presentations.
- Worked across departments and with external contractors to create a wide-reaching advertising campaign and educational YouTube video series
- Responsible for copywriting of website, radio ads, and social media posts
