I co-authored the book 125 Nature Hot Spots in British Columbia with Christina Smyth, published in 2023 by Firefly Books. This beautifully illustrated guidebook explores the province’s remarkable splendor and natural diversity. This second edition is an update from our previous book 100 Nature Hot Spots in British Columbia (2018), with new information and 25 additional destinations.
Script Writer
I’ve written over 70 scripts for the popular educational YouTube show, SciShow. Accumulating over 18 million views, my episodes range widely in topic, from blind fish to spider silk innovations. Accessible and entertaining, these videos bring complex science concepts into the spotlight, inspiring curiosity and wonder about the world around us.
I also write scripts for PBS Eons, a science YouTube channel sharing longform educational videos covering the history of life on Earth from the dawn of life to today, with over 3 million subscribers with a reach of 250K+ views per episode.
